{SEE MINNEAPOLIS} Matisse Exhibit at MIA

Have the winter blues? There's a cure for that. The Minneapolis Institute of Art {MIA} has a simply amazing Henri Matisse exhibit opening February 23 {that's next Sunday} and lasting until March 18th. The collection will cover six decades of works by the father of modern art with paintings, sculptures, and prints - all bursting with vivid color and playful character.

Reminder: this is an 'admission' exhibit. While the rest of the museum is free, this collection requires an admission ticket, so bring some cash.

EXTRA: Feel like playing artist for a night? The Thursday after the end of the exhibit - March 20th - join the museum from 6:00-9:00 pm for 'Matisse Madness'. Create color blocked beauties a la Matisse, take a casual french lesson, and enjoy live jazz. And of course, third thursdays are FREE events!
