Friday Fondness - News Worthy Tee

I love this nerdy NYTimes tee! How cute would it look with a pair of skinnies and a cardigan for an easy weekend look?

Chrissy Angliker

Another art post coming your way! I recently came across the beautiful work of Chrissy Angliker, born in Zurich, Switzerland; based in New York. Her 'drippy' art focuses on her perception of self in relation to the world, creating uniquely classical subjects through control and chaos of brush strokes.

For those of you in New York, her next solo show, "Bubblegum Nude is Out of Town", will be held November 12 - 17 at the Superchief Gallery. The opening is November, 14 from 6-10.

Discovering Art

{London 1 - Jay Ezra}

 Living in an actual house now, I've been searching high and low for new artwork for the walls. Our landlords left behind a few of their own pieces {a tattered and soiled tapestry that I promptly hid in the closet} but I still have a craving to personalize the space. Gallery walls are insanely popular right now, and while I'd love to do that, I don't have the time, budget, or permission {due to leasing} to do it - so I'm leaning more towards the idea of a statement piece, large and in charge, on one wall.

{Lilassalt - Alison Cooley}

 The Tappan Collective, an online art gallery that features art by emerging artists at an astonishingly affordable price! It's the perfect way to find exciting art, at a great price, to slowly start that art collection you've always dreamed on while you're still on a budget.

The Weekend In Short - City in Fall

The lovely Sarah Carlson and I decided that amidst a sea of overwhelming homework and chores {the one downfall of the changing of seasons} it was about high time we spend a day reveling in the charms of the city - which get even more charming in fall. Saturday we strolled through every gallery at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts {where I finally got to see the famous dustbowl photograph by Dorothea Lange!}, re-energized at our favorite coffee shop, and of course made apple pie. Could we be any more domestic? Hoping you all had seriously wonderful autumnal weekends!

Hey y'all! I know you're all just dying to see the work I've been doing lately...right? Well you are in luck, you very lucky ducks. My online portfolio {however small and not filled with work it may be} is now live! See what I've been up to and take a look at some of my work. I'd really appreciate your feedback and patience as I get used to the new platform, but even more so to have you guys be a part of my {budding} professional life.
